Specific areas of buildings can be designated as sheltering zones for local evacuation in the event of an identified release or system alarms. Sheltering zones can be engineered by isolation of the zone and installation of local air cleaning systems. Outdoor supply air is an option for sheltering zones. Areas can be equipped with appropriate supplies, including medical treatments and protective clothing, and lists of such items will be provided if requested.
